February 26, 2009 - Eastern Area Breakfast Meeting

MASITE hosted a breakfast meeting at McCormick Taylor’s offices in Philadelphia, PA.

Richard Dickson, the Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Administration at the Philadelphia Parking Authority spoke about Parking Priorities in Philadelphia.  He highlighted issues at the Philadelphia International Airport, Center City Parking Facilities, Taxicab and Limousine Regulations and On-Street Parking and Mobility Enhancements.  In addition, Steve Buckley, the Deputy Commissioner for Transportation for the City of Philadelphia Department of Streets also spoke about the “City of Philadelphia: Traffic and ITS Priorities in 2009”.  He touched on such subjects as KITS, RIMIS, Fiber Optics Communication Network, Traffic Operations Center, LED Conversion, Transportation Emergency Planning, City-wide Traffic Model and Transit.  Both presentations were very informative and well received.
